Amidst it, Govinda made his first media statement on the matter. With folded hands and humility in his heart on the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, he shared that he has no worth and whatever he got is due to the Goddess's blessings. He added that people will never see him insulting a woman or going against them. Govinda said:
"Mujhe ye sab jo bhi mila hai meri iski bhi aukaat nahi hai, maa ka jo ashirwad raha jo mil gya. Aap mujhe kabhi kisi stree ka virodh karte hue nahi dekhenge."
